About Us
The Yellowstone Area System, or 'YAS', is a cooperative of employment and
training agencies, social service agencies and private sector business
owners that share the following mission:
"To empower individuals to thrive and excel; to manage change; to provide
training and learning opportunities; to provide an educated and prepared
workforce to area employers; and to help employers adapt to changes in
technology, the economy and the workforce."
The YAS provides services in Gallatin, Park, Meagher, Sweet Grass and Madison counties
of southcentral Montana.
Our operations are centered on three One Stop JobLINC Centers;
Bozeman
Job Service Workforce Center,
Livingston JobLINC Job Service and Belgrade
Career Transitions.
Our first year goals are to communicate to rural
areas what JobLINC services are; to provide JobLINC services in rural
areas; and to develop new partnerships.
In order to provide services in your community we need partners from
our communities. Partners are contacted by the YAS to
get ideas on the following needs:
- Placing of brochures in our outlying areas.
- Securing space to meet with employers, employees,
or clients. This could be a formal office or something as simple as a table
in a local library, or an employee's office. We use limited funding to
purchase internet-enabled computers that are placed at the shared space for anyone to
use or, we bring laptop computers to use while we are visiting.
- Obtaining a local contact person that knows their local community. Someone
who is willing to learn just a little about JobLINC services, and act as
a liaison between the community and our service providers.
- Obtaining partners who are interested in participating on the Yellowstone Area
JobLINC System; this includes attending quarterly meetings in Bozeman or
Livingston.
The Yellowstone Area JobLINC System is excited to be offering expanded
services and developing new partners in our outlying areas. If you or
